Exciting news!

Jason Schaefer, the 401(e) Home Energy Service coordinator, is currently travelling through Germany with a McCloy Fellowship.

During 3 weeks, he will visit different cities and organizations throughout Germany and learn from their successful energy efforts in the field of home energy efficiency.

McCloy Fellowships are awarded through the American Council on Germany. It is a fantastic opportunity – nearly 1,000 Americans and Germans have been recipients during the program’s 37-year history! It provides funds for awardees to travel overseas and conduct on-site research and interviews. It is also flexible – recipients decide on an itinerary according to their subject of interest.

Jason will be providing updates in the form of blog posts during the next few weeks.

His first stop? He just attended the Passive House conference in Aachen, that took place April 25 and 26. Over the course of a few days, new projects and the latest solutions in the area of energy efficient construction were being showcased by speakers in more than a hundred lectures!

We are looking forward to hearing about Jason’s next adventures in Germany!
