The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) is a national organization that develops technical standards for residential energy efficiency and weatherization retrofit work and provides certification programs for industry professionals.
401(e) has four BPI Certified Energy Analysts on staff. The certification process which consists of work experience prerequisites, rigorous written tests, and field exams ensures that our staff is highly capable of evaluating the energy efficiency, health, and safety of your home and able to identify areas for energy savings.
BPI certifications are supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). 401(e)’s BPI certified professionals recognize that a house is a system and by approaching our energy efficiency work with this understanding, we can help reduce a homeowner’s utility bills by as much as 20% or more.
