Have you heard of Green3 Grand Forks? Green3 Grand Forks is the name of the City of Grand Forks’ Sustainability Program and one of 401(e)’s great partners.
With a focus on fiscal, social, and environmental sustainability, the program aims to foster community-wide involvement in new and ongoing efforts that help make Grand Forks a “Greener” place to live.

Have you seen one of Green3 Grand Forks’ two hybrid diesel buses? 2011 data showed that they outperformed standard diesel buses by .93 miles per gallon and yielded an annual cost savings of over $10,000. One hybrid bus will reduce carbon emissions by estimated 175 tons over a ten-year period!
Green3 Grand Forks is led by Debra Pflughoeft-Hassett, Sustainability Coordinator for the City. To learn about some of the initiatives the program has been involved with, check out their website and Facebook page.
