Now available in Greater Grand Forks
401(e) Home Energy Service is pleased to partner with the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program to provide Grand Forks area homeowners with energy savings through home improvements and energy efficiency upgrades.
Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is a national program from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency, and like the 401(e) Home Energy Service, the program takes a whole-house approach to energy efficiency and home comfort.
A drafty house, rooms that are too cold or too hot, and high energy bills are common concerns for homeowners in Greater Grand Forks. The package of improvements made through Home Performance with ENERGY STAR typically saves homeowners 20 percent or more on energy bills, while also improving the indoor air quality, comfort, and safety of their homes. Common home improvements performed include: sealing air leaks and adding insulation, improving heating and cooling systems, and upgrading lighting and appliances.
Why Home Performance with ENERGY STAR?
Installing a new heating or air conditioning system, replacement windows or adding more insulation may fix part of the problem. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR takes a “whole-house” approach. Instead of simply treating symptoms, we find the root causes and address them.
Thorough Diagnosis
It starts with an energy assessment using state-of-the-art equipment to evaluate your home from top to bottom. Based on this assessment, we will recommend comprehensive improvements that will yield the best results for you and your family. Once you select the improvements that fit your needs and budget, we will help you get the job done.
Quality Assurance
When work is completed, another set of tests will be performed to show the difference the improvements have made. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR requires that all participating contractors’ work is spot-checked by independent third-parties, so you can have added confidence that your job will be done correctly.
