Give to the Max Day (GTMD), an exciting 24 hour annual online giving event, presents the opportunity to support Minnesota nonprofits and charities doing great work in the region. In many instances, this work extends beyond Minnesota boundaries into North Dakota, the Midwest, and the nation…as is the case with RREAL.
The Rural Renewable Energy Alliance (or RREAL for short) is a unique nonprofit solar manufacturing and design build firm in north central Minnesota. With a mission of making solar energy accessible to communities of all income levels, RREAL has advanced a unique and innovative strategy to addressing fuel poverty. By utilizing solar, RREAL has stabilized heating costs for hundreds of families and individuals in cold climate regions (including partnering with Red River Valley Community Action on a number of projects in the greater Grand Forks community). Read more about the organization and solar in North Dakota here.
Each year, RREAL participates in Give to the Max Day. This year on November 14th, RREAL is inviting everyone to join them for their first ever GTMD Pajama Gala which celebrates giving from your home and computer. Please check out RREAL’s GiveMN page on Thursday, November 14th and help them meet their goal of raising $10,000 in these 24 hours. The support makes a meaningful difference in addressing low-income fuel poverty and making solar energy accessible to everyone.
